The waviness allows the whole tendon to have a small amount of elasticity (2-10%) as the collagen fibres themselves do not stretch. The field of view is approximately 220 microns across” Maybe this is what the tendons in my left knee look like! Today is one of the bad days. 4 months of physical therapy/MRI/XRay/multiple docs… No answers still. But hey, it makes me appreciate my good days right?! :) Great image.
